My pick of the month is the mystical world of ‘THE DARK CRYSTAL’ – which conjures very pleasant memories for me! Our local cinema theatre would show older Disney and other cartoons and this one was… special! A combo of dazzling visuals, eerie creatures, and a quest for balance in a universe that is dangerously teetering on the edge of chaos.
In a distant land, where ancient prophecies whisper through the gnarled branches of ancient trees, we find ourselves immersed in the enchanting tale of Jen, the last of the noble Gelflings. Jen who was raised by the wise Mystics must now embark on a quest to restore balance to the universe. The Dark Crystal, a powerful gem shattered by malevolent forces, holds the key. But the sinister Skeksis, with their creepy bird-like appearance, are up to no good and are trying to stop Jen from succeeding in every possible way! Will he end up tangled in a web of puppetry politics? Or will he save the world?
The Gelfling’s journey would even make Frodo Baggins raise an eyebrow. The evil Skeksis are absolutely brilliant! Imagine vultures in couture. Bony villains who sip ‘essence’ like it’s the latest trend.
‘The Dark Crystal’ has an ethereal alien quality, far removed from traditional fairy tales. It’s a hippy-ish dreamlike movie that entirely succeeds as a children’s adventure. And hey, if you’re into bird-like overlords and existential crystal repair, this film’s your jam.

Firstly, I was born in 2002 so my favorite movie/series is not that old😆. It is always been the SPY KIDS Movies, I remember when my mother bought the CD for me and my brother when we're still kids, we watched it over and over again until the CD has many scratched that it would error the CD player lol.
The story goes like this, it's about two siblings who discover their parents are retired spies. (Juni and Carmen and I even memorized they're whole names before haha) When their parents are captured, Carmen and Juni must step up, using amazing gadgets and technology and their wits to save them and stop a villain's evil plan. My imaginations about cool technologies and gadgets are because of this movie hahah

The NeverEnding Story (German: Die unendliche Geschichte) is a 1984 fantasy film, co-written and directed by Wolfgang Petersen (in his first English-language film), based on the 1979 novel The Neverending Story by Michael Ende.
Most of the action takes place in a parallel world called Phantásia, which is being destroyed by the “nothingness” - ever larger parts of the realm simply disappear without anything being left behind. A kind of frame narrative consists of sequences set in the human world. Each of these worlds represents one of the two main characters in the novel. Bastian Balthasar Bux is a human boy who initially only reads a novel about the land of Phantásia, but the story becomes more and more of a reality for him. Eventually he becomes a part of it himself, until he is on the verge of losing himself in the fantasy world. Atréju, on the other hand, is a young Phantásian hunter who, on behalf of the ailing ruler of the realm, the Childlike Empress, searches for the cause of her illness in order to save Phantásia. He later becomes Bastian's friend and helps him find his way back home.
