My pick of the month is Earth Girls Are Easy (1988) – a zany and colourful romantic comedy that offers a fun-filled escape into the realm of '80s nostalgia. Directed by Julien Temple and starring Geena Davis, Jeff Goldblum, Damon Wayans and Jim Carrey, the film follows the misadventures of three furry (at least at the start of the movie) extraterrestrial visitors who crash-land in Southern California and are promptly introduced to the wonders of human life by a quirky Valley Girl. Filled with catchy musical numbers, vibrant visuals, and hilarious antics, this rom com is a lighthearted film that celebrates friendship, love, and the absurdities of intergalactic encounters, making it a cult classic worth revisiting for its sheer entertainment value.
The original Extraction quickly became one of the most-streamed movies on Netflix after its debut in 2020, and its sequel, Extraction 2, has since cemented the series among action aficionados out there. If you were excited to see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role as the sharpshooting Australian black ops mercenary Tyler Rake, there are plenty of other great action movies to check out next.

NOTTING HILL (1999) It is about the controversial love story between a famous and glamorous American movie star Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) and a simple bookstore owner in London, William Thacker (Hugh Grant). Their romance started during an unexpected encounter over spilled orange juice that developed into a full-blown love affair. The film teaches that love does not judge the life status of a person nor where s/he comes from because the liking principles are universal. A person who is in love will not hesitate to go an extra mile just to win the one s/he loves.
When We First Met is a 2018 American romantic comedy film directed by Ari Sandel, written by John Whittington, and starring Adam DeVine, Alexandra Daddario, Shelley Hennig, Andrew Bachelor and Robbie Amell. It was released worldwide on Netflix on February 9, 2018.
Yours, Mine & Ours (2005) This film is about a couple who fall in love in high school but whose paths separate. They both continue their lives, mature and get married and then become widows. As they become adults, their love resurfaces, however, they must overcome a very difficult obstacle: Helen has 10 children (4 biological and 6 adopted) and he has another 8. Getting a house for everyone will not be easy, much less organizing it. The resistance of some of the boys to accept the new union plus the conflicts that will arise in this new "overcrowded" home give the framework to this story in which many adventures and misadventures will unfold. A movie for the whole family.

My all time favorite is Guzaarish starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Bachchan. It tells the story of Ethan a former magician who after a tragic accident becomes a quadriplegic. Despite his limitations, he seeks permission from the court to end his own life through euthanasia. https://youtu.be/bZ0Ge2K7vIs?si=pI9c4JXT4p38JzHg
I chose "Bride Wars" because it is a delightful romantic comedy that explores the dynamics of friendship and love through the lens of wedding planning. The film's humorous take on the competitive nature of two best friends-turned-brides adds a unique twist to the typical romantic comedy genre, making it an entertaining and engaging choice for a movie night.

My choice under the theme is , "When Harry met sally" This film released in 1989 which surrounds two friends who met in Chicago and goes together to New York. They love each other but a unknown fear captured them that sex can destroyed their friendship. So they both ( Bill crystal as Harry and Megryan as sally) decided that they will not marry. The film remains in my heart long times because it was full of romance and comedy but with great respect of relationships. A man can live with a girl without sex , that a lesson earned from that movie. My all time favourite!!
3 Idiots, The story begins with these three friends studying at the Imperial College of Engineering, one of the most prestigious engineering institutions in India. Rancho is a smart student, thinks innovatively, and does not follow conventional norms Rancho is a student who doesn't think about grades but prioritizes understanding knowledge and not just memorizing it. In this film, apart from comedy, it is inserted with other romantic scenes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2A7VOgWpJ8
