I think the first historical movie I can remember watching must have been AMADEUS . I was never a great cinema-goer, I prefer to watch movies from the comfort of my home, so I watched in on the telly. It was a captivating film directed by Milos Forman, adapted by Peter Shaffer from his 1979 stage play of the same name, in turn inspired by the 1830 play Mozart and Salieri by Alexander Pushkin.
Rather than focusing solely on the genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Tom Hulce), the movie delves into the envy of his rival, Antonio Salieri (F. Murray Abraham). The central theme revolves around Salieri’s curse: having the talent of a third-rate composer, but the ear of a first-rate music lover. He recognises how inferior his work is compared to Mozart’s brilliance. The most moving scene occurs at Mozart’s deathbed, where Salieri extracts the final pages of Mozart’s “Requiem.” Salieri hates Mozart but loves music more, craving yet another masterpiece to resent for its perfection.
The film doesn’t present Mozart as an untouchable paragon. Instead, he’s depicted as a goofy proto-hippie with a high-pitched giggle (who can forget that giggle?!), an affinity for drink, and a buxom wife who playfully chases him. True geniuses often make their work look effortless, and Mozart is no exception. His compositions flow joyously, as if he’s “taking dictation from God”.
In 2019, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

The Inn of the Sixth Happiness (1958) is a biographical film about Gladys Aylward , a British missionary to China during the outbreak of war with Japan in 1937.
I watched the movie when I was 6 or 7 years old and sensed there was something remarkable about Aylward’s life and about those around her… goodness, courage, selflessness, doing the right thing, making a difference, creating a legacy, positive outcomes… and asked my mother for enlightenment.
I am awed by people, who minister to others, but am humbled and rendered speechless when their ministry takes them to unfamiliar territory to meet local needs that have not been previously addressed.

One of the historical drama I like is Queen Charlotte. For one I am really fun of princes and princess so as their etiquette and how they go about their lives especially in love... So this fascinates me as she stumble upon an arrange marriage turned into love of her life... Though it is never easy for her because her husband got sick but she remained strong and composed as a Queen...

Joel and Ellie's cross-country journey is coming to an end in HBO's The Last of Us but we know that this likely won’t be the last we see of Joel and Ellie. With viewership increasing by the millions with each episode, the show has already achieved something truly rare in entertainment: it’s a video game adaptation that doesn’t suck.
Episode 9 is titled Look for the Light. The episode runs approximately 43 minutes. This episode is one of the most emotionally impactful episodes of the series, and while people had voiced their concerns around pacing, this final episode proves you can do a lot in less than forty-five minutes.
Throughout the season, we have seen bits and pieces of Ellie’s life and this episode does what the game never truly touched up. Ellie is immune to cordyceps, something that has never happened in the world of The Last of Us but is explained brilliantly as this season reaches its finale. The Last of Us is one of the best shows of 2023. From its world-building to its character development, the show is a master class in storytelling. It’s hard to believe that this show was based on a video game. Even non-zombie lovers will appreciate The Last of Us because, at the end of the day, it’s great television
This episode is almost flawless; from the pacing to the writing, everything works perfectly. The only improvement that could possibly be needed is more explanation of the relationship between Ellie and Marlene. By far co-creators, Druckmann and Mazin have been able to surprise the audience with unexpected twists and turns and by taking an in-depth look at characters so we're likely in for one hell of a finale.
The Last of Us is certainly a love story in all forms and what lengths you would go to in order to protect the one you love in the middle of a chaotic, ruthless world. The show perfectly captures the essence of the game in terms of the cost of survival. Now we know that the second season will focus heavily on Part II of the video game and I cannot wait to see how it turns out ✨

The story portrays the brutal realities of trench warfare, the physical emotional toll on soldiers and the disillusionment with the romanticized view of war.

All time favorite Historical Movie of mine is the "Schindler's List" - the movie is based on the true life event during WW2 of Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who saved the lives of over a thousand Polish Jews during the Holocaust by employing them in his factories.
I atfirst judged the movie with it's being black-and-white production and kind of old type but when I started watching it, I just realized the meaning behind detail of the impactful use of color in an otherwise black-and-white film. The character of the little girl in the red coat, a rare instance of color in the movie, symbolizes innocence amidst the horror and serves as a affecting visual representation of the human cost of the Holocaust.
It gives an emotional impact to viewers during the event of Holocaust. A 10/10 for me and must watch. All generations should have watch this movie because this happened and people should learn.
