Good morning everyone and welcome to the second edition of #HumpdayAndChill 🍿🎬 – the event where we recommend our favourite movies and series around a certain topic, chosen by the #TangledCommunity .

Who doesn’t love food? We all need it to sustain ourselves, so we might as well enjoy it, am I right?? After some thought, I have settled upon a film made more than half a century ago, but still very entertaining and worth watching – “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” (1971).
I think a lot of us grew up listening to/reading the stories of British author Roald Dahl, who has been called "one of the greatest storytellers for children of the 20th century”. Other stories he wrote include “James and the Giant Peach”. “Matilda”, “The Witches” and many more stories most of which have been turned into movies.
Willy Wonka, portrayed by the late Gene Wilder, is the owner of a chocolate factory and has hidden five golden tickets amongst his chocolate bars. If you are lucky to receive a ticket, you are rewarded with a tour of the factory and a lifetime supply of chocolate! In truth, the real prize was actually the factory itself and Wonka is looking for a person to replace him and look after his Oompa-Loompas (his workers) after he retires.
If you haven’t seen this version, give it a go... I can tell you that there are some rather shocking scenes – at least I thought they were when I saw this film first as a child. The more recent version with Johnny Depp wasn’t too bad either, but I prefer this one!

Have you guys seen The Founder? PG-13, 2016 ‧ Drama/History ‧ 1h 55m It's the true story of how Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), a struggling salesman from Illinois, met Mac (John Carroll Lynch) and Dick McDonald (Nick Offerman), who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California. Kroc was impressed by the brothers' speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. Kroc soon maneuvers himself into a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a multi-billion dollar empire. Great movie.

"Chocolat" takes place in rural France, in an isolated village overseen by the Comte de Reynaud (Alfred Molina), who makes sure everyone keeps to the straight and (very) narrow. Enter mysterious, red-cloaked Vianne (Juliette Binoche) and her daughter Anouk (Victoire Thivisol), who boldly open up a chocolate shop during Lent. Aghast, the Comte tries to keep customers away. But Vianne always seems to know just what people need, giving everyone the kind of chocolate they can't resist and improving the lives of her grumpy landlord Armande (Judi Dench), and the troubled Josephine (Lena Olin).
When a group of itinerants dock their houseboats in town, Vianne befriends Roux (Johnny Depp), which proves too much for the Compte and his sidekick, Josephine's husband Serge. Both the Compte and Vianne have to confront near disaster and their own fears, and the village's young priest must find a way to become a true spiritual leader for the community.

Like Water for Chocolate (1992) Based on Laura Esquivel's debut novel, this Mexican magical realist romance was a hit in the U.S. "Like Water for Chocolate" is an epic that spans decades as it digs into the doomed love between Tita (Lumi Cavazos) and Pedro (Marco Leonardi). The youngest daughter of a strict matriarch, Tita must stay at home, unmarried, so that she can care for her mother until her death. Pedro adores Tita and decides to marry her older sister, Rosaura, which will enable him to remain in her life.
Tita expresses her frustrations, which sometimes spill out into rage and revenge ... via her cooking. That's a tradition that has been passed on by the house cook, Nacha, who is like a grandmother to her. Tita's emotions (including her tears) reveal themselves in the food she prepares, such as a cake for Pedro and Rosaura's wedding that overwhelms the event's guests with melancholy. She also cooks quail with a rose sauce derived from a bouquet that Pedro brings her. Everyone who consumes it, however, is sexually aroused.
"Like Water for Chocolate" is one of the finest examples of a film expressing that food in many cultures — and communities and families — is full of sensuality and emotion. Cooking can also express feelings that words cannot articulate. The film also represents a great instance of Latin American magical realism, with frequently surreal and bizarre moments, such as Tita's middle sister running away naked to join the revolution. A wonderfully funny and sad movie.

Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, 12 Seasons.
I loved to watch and travel around the world with Bourdain learning about other countries's cuisine and culture.
Parts Unknown is an American travel and food show on CNN which premiered on April 14, 2013. In the show, Anthony Bourdain travels the world uncovering lesser-known places and exploring their cultures and cuisine.The show won twelve Primetime Emmy Awards out of 31 nominations. The digital series Explore Parts Unknown, an editorial partnership with Roads & Kingdoms, won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction or Reality Series.
Parts Unknown aired the last collection of episodes on CNN in the autumn of 2018. The series finale, titled "Lower East Side" — bringing Bourdain's culinary travelogue full circle back to Bourdain's hometown of New York — aired November 11, 2018.[7]

#HumpdayAndChill Bravo TV series "Top Chef" has had six Emmy Award nominations, and has had over 20 seasons. I am a "foodie" and enjoy this series because it is fast paced and the take away learning experience.

We continue with the animated proposals that the whole family can enjoy. In this case, it is worth clarifying that the origin of the first film, released in 2009, is based on a children's book that was published in 1978 and written by Judi Barrett.
The story is about a scientist and inventor named Flint, who, after a series of failed experiments, finally manages to create a machine that transforms water into food. Sounds like the best invention of all time

Sausage Party is a 2016 adult computer-animated black comedy film directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan and written by Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg from a story by Rogen, Goldberg, and Jonah Hill. The film follows an anthropomorphic sausage who lives in a supermarket and discovers the truth about what happens when groceries are purchased. He goes on a journey with his friends to escape their fate while also facing a lunatic and malicious douche who wants to kill him.

My choice is The Trip -
is an intelligent and laugh-out-loud British comedy about the importance of friendship, fame and good food. The movie has a sequels as well: To Italy and Spain as well, but I think, the original idea is the best. The setting i perfect for the theme: minimal action, just two characters sitting at the table and enjoying the conversation with food, about food, and more. Starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon.

"Super Size Me" is a 2004 American documentary film directed by and starring Morgan Spurlock, an American independent filmmaker. Spurlock's film follows a 30-day period from February 1 to March 2, 2003, during which he ate only McDonald's food. The film documents the drastic effect on Spurlock's physical and psychological health and well-being. It also explores the fast food industry's corporate influence, including how it encourages poor nutrition for its own profit and gain.
Spurlock ate at McDonald's restaurants three times a day, eating every item on the chain's menu at least once. Spurlock consumed an average of 20.9 megajoules or 5,000 kcal (the equivalent of 9.26 Big Macs) per day during the experiment. He also walked about 2 kilometers (1.5 miles) a day. An intake of around 2,500 kcal within a healthy balanced diet is more generally recommended for a man to maintain his weight. As a result, the then-32-year-old Spurlock gained 24.5 pounds (11.1 kg), a 13% body mass increase, increased his cholesterol to 230 mg/dL (6.0 mmol/L), and experienced mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and fat accumulation in his liver. Kings of Pastry is a film by D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus that follows a group of world-class French pastry chefs as they compete for France's most prestigious craftsmen award: Meilleur Ouvrier de France, awarded by former French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
The competition, which takes place in Lyon, France, features a diverse range of creative trade professions, from carpentry to jewelry design to pastry making. The honor of wearing the blue, white and red striped collar given to the winners is considered to be the ultimate recognition of excellence in the pastry field.
The film focuses primarily on Chef Jacquy Pfeiffer, co-founder of Chicago’s French Pastry School, and one of the sixteen finalist chefs competing — the sixteen finalists were selected from eighty semi-finalists during the semi-final rounds that took place in the months prior to the final competition.
