Welcome to the JULY edition (Nr 7 of 12) of the #HumpdayAndChill 🎬🍿 event – the monthly movie event where we recommend our favourite movies and series centred around a specific topic, chosen by the #TangledCommunity , and where you can #earn a share of 38,500,000 millix – with thanks to the WONDERFUL
This month's theme was chosen, as usual, via the #CaturdayVote and since it seems we are all overheating this summer, you chose to keep things COOL – the theme of the event is:

*This refers to any movie where snow, ice or winter serves as a key element or setting in the story. A casual reference to snow/ice/winter does NOT count.

There are so very many movies and series focused around snow, winter and cold weather, but for this month, I will go with one of my favourite series which is sadly enough about to end – RESIDENT ALIEN .
This series is truly a quirky sci-fi gem worth binging! It kicks off with a bang when a human foot is found in a lake as the ice melts in the small town of Patience, Colorado, sparking a murder mystery. Meanwhile, an alien named Harry, sent to destroy Earth, is stranded when his spaceship crashes and gets stuck in the snowy mountains. Posing as a local doctor, Harry (played hilariously by Alan Tudyk) fumbles through human life while unraveling the town’s secrets. The mix of dark humor, heart, and extraterrestrial shenanigans makes it a must-watch!
Unfortunately the last season is currently airing – I am really looking forward to binge watch it when all episodes are out! The season finale, titled “The End Is Here” is scheduled to air on August 8, 2025. 😢
