Our #HumpdayAndChill 🍿🎬 for the month of AUGUST is concluded. It is time to reveal our FIVE lucky winners!!

• Swiss Family Robinson (1960) — A family shipwrecked on an uninhabited tropical island.
• The Lighthouse (2019) — Two lighthouse keepers isolated on a remote island.
• Papillon (1973) — Much of the story takes place on Devil's Island, the notorious French penal colony.
• Jurassic Park III (2001) — Isla Sorna, another remote island.
• Robinson Crusoe (1997) — Classic shipwrecked-on-an-island adventure.
• The Black Stallion (1979) — A boy and a horse are stranded on a deserted island.
• The Most Dangerous Game (2022) — A remote island becomes the hunting ground for a deadly game.
• The Condemned (2007) — Condemned prisoners are taken to a remote island and forced to hunt/kill each other.
A HUGE thank you to all amazing Tanglers for always making this monthly event each time such a FUN one! I look forward to seeing you back on SEPTEMBER 30 – the last Wednesday of next month.

My choice for the AUGUST edition (Nr 8 of 12) of the #HumpdayAndChill event, hosted by
None but the Brave, a 1965 anti-war film produced and directed by Frank Sinatra from a screenplay by John Twist and Katsuya Susaki . It is Sinatra’s only directorial effort.
A group of US Marines and a group of Japanese soldiers are stranded on the same uninhabited Pacific island during World War II.
After initial bullet-laced confrontations, the Japanese leader offers water in exchange for the aid of Pharmacist Mate Maloney (Sinatra) whom he has mistaken for a doctor. Maloney amputates a Japanese soldier’s leg and saves his life and peace ensues. But can it last? There are two sides to every war. None but the Brave skillfully shows the heroism of both.
The movie does not finish with "The End" but with " NOBODY EVER WINS ."
What would you do in such a situation – isolated from the conflict of war during wartime? Lay down your arms and support your fellow man OR continue to serve your political leaders’ ambitions, resulting in more bloodshed?
