My pick this month is DUMA (2005), an excellent family moviethat is bound to leave a lasting impression on viewers of all ages, although I suspect not many people know of this one.
This film takes you on an adventure through the heartwarming and thrilling journey of a young South African boy named Xan and his cheetah companion, Duma.
Their incredible bond and the gorgeous African landscape provide a captivating backdrop for the story, which is filled with moments of bravery, friendship, and most of all… love. As Xan and Duma face numerous challenges on their quest to return Duma to the wild, you will be deeply moved by their unwavering loyalty and courage.
Be prepared, though: you might need a tissue or two when watching! Duma is truly an unforgettable and enriching family experience. Duma won the Family Feature Film at the Genesis Awards in 2006.
